Damn, if some of you guys are just wanting to reduce shoulder wear and increase front end grip, simply go with a set 18X8et 40-43 wheels. You can fit 245/35s up front with no clearance issues with the strut or wheel liners. I'm running Alutec Drive 18X8et43 and with a square 245/35R18 MP4S tire setup. The increased grip of having nearly a 1" wider front foot print compared to the 225/40R18 is pretty significant. Also, the front shoulder wear that was common to the 225/40R18 is long gone.

I'm on 18x8.5et42 w 235/40 PS4S and rub the front bumper and lining lol (not fender after a roll).... I'm gonna do 235/35 PS4S next time but the LCA+ts really screwed the fitment goals. Also i have a 0.5" Dinan drop front. I guess the 8" wheel makes a huge difference... |

Thanks everyone for the great info!
Can anyone confirm if the below Nut is needed for the upgrades? "(2) BMW Tension Strut Nut - Genuine BMW 31106767496 (supposedly this one is welded to frame so not needed, will confirm)" |

Can some of you give recommended alignment specs for a car with LCA & TS that is NOT lowered?
I saw some people post alignment specs but I think most I've seen are lowered. Thanks! |

Well here's my alignment, I'm pretty happy with it.
On my relaxed drive home from my alignment shop, I immediately felt the loose electric steering improved and is much more responsive now. I also get more feedback from the road, less numb. Last edited by grocerylist; 05-05-2020 at 11:33 AM.. |

There's definitely new NVH as a result of LCA & TS. I'd say it's not for everyone but for me the sharpness of the steering outweighs the noise and harshness of road bumps.

What are your wheel/tire specs on stock suspension? I want to go the LCA/TS route and also debating buying 18" wheels (running Style 380 17" now). This might be necessary even, if my 17s are too small to host the upgrade; still researching this but also want to know my larger wheel options without rub. Thanks!

when you fit the M4 TS+LCA, you get camber by moving the whole wheel hub strut assembly outwards (pivoted on the top strut mount). Doing this can only make fender rub worse. However, if you corrected your camber with adjustable top mounts, then that would move the top of the wheel inwards relative to the bodywork, giving more clearance. Summary: the M4 TS+LCA will not improve wheel to strut clearance and will make wheel to fender clearance worse in every case. |

I've still not rolled the fenders but I'm hoping it helps with the rubbing that I'm getting now. Otherwise I may look at getting some Millway camber plates. |

Hi guys, i need some confirmation before fitting the LCAs and TSs.
My M235i is on stock adaptive suspensions ( stock springs and dampers ) with 8Jx19 ET36 wheels and PS4S 225/35/19. Will i be for sure at 100% without any rubbing or similar problem ? |

I'm with 18 8J et40 with 245 width tyres and it rubs. OK you are on narrower 225's, but the 19" won't help and you are 4mm more poke with et36. |
