Just ordered a set of hyper black Arc-8s for a sunset orange car. 5mm spacers all around, but I didn't order extended nuts/studs. Should I? Or will I be fine with only 5mm?

I should pull a nut off and see how many threads are currently being used...

Hi there,

I would not recommend running any sized spacer with the factory length hardware. To ensure there is enough thread through the hub of the car, extended lug bolts or studs will be required. Otherwise, you greatly increase your chance of overly stressing your wheel hardware.

If you have any additional questions, please do not hesitate to reach out.

Here's the stats:

2019 M240i Coupe
Stock height/springs
EC-7 Flow Form 8.5 ET35 Front
9.5 ET58 Rear w/ Apex 5mm spacer w/ extended lug nuts.
Michelin PS4S

Completely transforms the driving experience (and they look fantastic!). Also, i WAS on 225/40/18 and 255/35/18 Michelin A/S 3+ and the PS4S are definitely quieter and 1000x more comfortable. I'm pretty shocked actually. Grip is ridiculously good.

Anyway, thats my 2 cents. The Apex guys have been extremely helpful as have all you on this forum, much appreciated
265 in the rear sounds so nice! The red center caps definitely compliment the car nicely. Do you plan on dropping the car?

For staggered I always recommend our default option:

Front: 18x8.5" ET35 or ET38 with 225/40-18 tires
Rear: 18x9.5" ET58 with 255/35-18 tires

-Available in ARC-8, EC-7, or EC-7R design only.
-235/40-18 front tires can also be used, but we strongly suggest dialing in front negative camber to prevent rubbing. Amount of camber varies depending on tire brand and ride height.
-18x8.5 ET45 wheels can be used up front instead of ET35. These wheels will require 5mm spacers but will fit a 235/40-18 more easily than the ET35 option.
-265/35-18 rear tires may also be used, but may require 3mm or larger spacers, or trimming fender liner and shock dust boot.

The higher offset requirements of the 1 & 2 series led us to produce these wheels. They will suit the tires you are looking to run as long as the above tire notes are followed.

Please let us know if you have any other questions!

Thanks again,

-Tom

This may be a good resource for shots of cars on Anthracite wheels: https://www.flickr.com/search/?user_...ite&view_all=1

Sorry for the phone photos. We're in a heatwave in Vancouver, BC and I ran inside right after taking these. They are covered in brake dust and you can't really tell.

We have a similar wheel and tire fitment available as a package deal at a discount currently with ARC-8s substituted for the EC-7s. Anyone looking for a Michelin setup can learn more about that here if interested:

Looks great thanks! Definitely gonna go with that color. Just for the fact that it hides the break dust so easily 😇
