I have the 980M on my MSI gaming laptop. Still can run on ultra but only 1080P but still not as good as the desktop version

If the laptop screen maxes at 1080p then no point anyway.

I'm debating between a desktop or a laptop next. Still waiting on pascal announcement.

New ones have 4K support. If money is not a issue look at the MSI titan SLI. Things a beast

$699 for the "Founders Edition" which is basically a reference card sold by Nvidia.
$599 MSRP for the card sold by suppliers like EVGA and Gigabyte.

No difference in terms of performance. Just overall PCB layout of the two cards. Release date May 27th

Also im glad, let's me buy a cheap 980ti to sli as a holdover until the new Titan or 1080Ti come out. Or I even might wait for Volta. Depends on when I feel like making the upgrade to 4k.

I thought pascal was coming out later this year? Why not just wait for that.
