$2,200 for the Track Handling Package?
Hell, yes! Pretty much what I expected. And the M-Sport now gets Oyster + Black instead of full Oyster?! But now do I need to step up to the M-Sport if I can get the Track Handling package on the base 228i??? |

I think you can get track handling regardless of line for $2,200. It drops to $1,600 if you order with M-sport. I think it makes sense to get both.

I agree. The MSport in my opinion looks better. For only $600 premium, to me, a no-brainer. Only reason to forego the MSport in my mind, none of the available MSport colors appeal to you, as those seem to be very limited still.

But I'm looking at this through my own set of preferences. For me, I'm not that concerned about the exterior appearance of the car. I was mainly considering the M Sport because that was the only way to get the M Sport brakes (well, the other option would be to get the M Performance brakes, but $2,300 is kind of hard to swallow for those). Also, I would kind of like to keep the fog lights, which you lose with the M Sport Line. Still, you can't get the sport seats without getting either a Sport Line or a M Sport Line, so I'm still not entirely sure what I'm going to do. |

I see that the 228i M Sport can have either "mixed summer tires" or "mixed perf tires" or "all-season tires".
Anyone know what the difference is between the summer tires and the performance tires? |

Mixed performance is probably the Pilot Super Sports. Summer being the runflats.
Actually, I have no idea. The PSS that are standard on the M235i show as summer.

I can't believe that BMW really deleted the manual-transmission option on all of the xdrive models. Just ignorant. This isn't a 5-series sedan!
BMW just does not understand the xdrive market segment. They should try to learn a few things from Audi's success. |

Yep
I live and drive in the North East. What I drive will always have an awd as an option. Heck, my 328i Xdrive is an AWD with a manual transmission, and so far, it seems that it will be the last BMW I buy because Manual and AWD doesn't seem to go together with BMW anymore. |

You can't get a manual on either the TT or the new A3 (at least here in the USA). |

And I will be leasing, so resale value isn't really a concern, either. But driving comfort while I do have the car...yeah, that's a concern. |
