Just completed this conversion using jondagger's list and took the inaugural run.. Smiles all around!
A big thanks to Jondagger for doing the work to put the list in one place! Also, to whoever that crazy unknown hero is that found out these parts fit, Cheers!

I did Dinan drop Springs and bump stops along with my LCA / TS conversion so did a "string" alignment to get the toe back to drivable. I set toe at about zero and the car feels amazing! Transformed it from a pretty squishy and passive sporty car ride, to very much resemble or surpass the M2 competition I test drove.
There's so much that I changed here that I can not attest to solely the F8x LCA/TS change.. but upon initial driving impressions I'm Super Stoked with this suspension upgrade and how the car feels.

Yes, I would recommend to a friend.

Hell yea my friend, happy to help. This is the only thing you need from the new headlight arm. You just pop one off and put it on your driver's side LCA with a 10mm nut (not provided). Then pop your arm off the old bracket thing and onto this threaded ball. Fpc euro has them for like $7. part # 37146752797
Remember to adjust you headlights before driving.

I would like to offer precautionary skepticism that this LCA/TS upgrade is for everyone. It might be very aggressive on tire wear so may not be for the timid driver nor budget conscious tire shopper. (Just a gut feeling after recommending)

Fuck that retrofit part is cheaper than my 20$ one haha oh well... I don't have the time to ship back and replace it with yours. Keep in mind y'all, this headlight retrofit is a piece in which you must cannibalize to fit get it working

So I did the full retrofit and super happy with the results. I also added a 3mm spacer and titanium extended lugs and hub extender. The toe was so massively out of tolerance, had to do atleast 4-5 full rotations to aim the wheels relatively straight. Getting an alignment tomorrow. The 2x1mm spacers on the TS is a requirement!!! I used every part from my tutorial except for those nuts with the clip. Not sure what those were for LOL below are some photos. Wheel is pushed out 100% but my impression is I was lowered 1/4" and the assembly was pushed forward maybe 1/4"-1/2" aswell... photos also include the wheel 3mm spacers so that obstucts even more insides from before, but you can still see the same amount of fender on the right, while the top and left fender space is more obstructed. My car showed all its skeleton before before!!! Wheels are 18x8.5et45 w 235/40 MPS4S and like mentioned, 3mm spacers.

What is the offset (ET) of the 19's your borrowing for testing
Is it hitting the front lining at rest? When turning at rest? Did you drive it or are you guessing it will rub on straight compression? Turning compression?
How big total hub spacing do you have on your car while testing the 245's, and is this the same as with your 235's
On your 235/35 18 et40 when are you rubbing this setup? At speed? What cant you remove and are you saying you need a little more spacing.. or something different?

Are you saying with this set up and 235 35 et40 you would rub without any spacers?

The 19x9et35 on 245/40/18 were rubbing everywhere and anywhere. Mild turn and rub. The fender lining don't even get me started.

My 18x8.5et45 on 235/40/18 rub the liner like crazy on bumps, usually +40mph. This is with the +5mm spacer I have due to the hub/spacer extender I'm currently forced run. DONT EVER GET THE TURNER HUB EXTENDER. Going to try and break off the hub extender and just run my 3mm spacer I had planned. Will still rub on the wheel liner. In regards to fender, I had them rolled and trimmed, as the essentially et40 was cutting into the tire during normal <50mph driving, small turns, and some bumps. The problem for me is the moving the wheel forward causes rubbing on the liner during bumps, rubbing on the fender (very close to front bumper section). Also, this is primarily because it lowered my car on top. I guess because the wheels moved forward and some other reasons, my car seems to have lost 1/4 inch or more up front. I don't think 35 profile tires will stop the liner rubbing. Might need to get innovative. If you need any more clarification feel free to PM and we can chat.

Performance wise and steering feel wise 10/10. Massive amount of grip found, and with a terrible alignment too. The steering is more sensitive, as I feel the small adjustments much more now. Haven't tested braking... Fitment wise, the rumors are right. It's a headache! Broke a rotor today during all the turner hub extender fun haha. Gotta love false advertisement on ECS third part direct to consumer distributors

So I think I can answer the second half of your questions.

I'm running 18x8.5 et 38 and 235/40-18 with several different tire manufacturers. The only time I get rub is under heavy compression on track. It will push against the fender and sometimes I'll need to push the wheel arch back into alignment. I do have the LCAs so that's does help tuck the top of the tire in. I never rub on the street even if I hit a bigger bump.

In a static position I really think I can fit a 245/40. It's under compression where I'll start to worry

Interesting that you're getting so much rub on the 18" wheels. There difference between you and I is the drop and spacer. exactly why I don't wanna lower my car - I'll end up rubbing the tires.

Yep same- stock suspension. I'm a boat out there. I want to get V3 or CS coils and stiffen up the compression a tad

I ran the passed 2 weeks on factory staggered MPSS after a string alignment with no problems anywhere. I go in tomorrow to get factory staggered MPS A/S 3+ and a proper alignment.

After reading, I really want to do a moderate fender roll while I'm there.. but I think for research sake I'll hold off rolling for now and see how bad my 235/35r19 et40 rub this weekend.



factory staggered size = (front 225/40r18(et45)- rear 245/35r18(et52))

Good luck mate. Honestly you may not experience fender rubbing like me, but I see it very likely you get the lining rub I've got. Unless you are stock height like goodnight over here. Win some you lose some! A dicey and expensive game we play haha

I had no noticable rub anywhere with factory size tires but did have some rub on the front of the inner fender wells running 235/35R19 et40 mps 4s this weekend. It seemed like it wasn't real bad or anything but would rather no rubbing of course. I'll look more closely if the tires touched anywhere else when I take them back off in a couple days. As of now I think I'd run these as is.
And the car looks damn good with this setup.

Bro I feel that 100%.

Officially have the alignment done... my friend who tracks his 2 weekly and owns a shop did it with the specs below, freaking insane overall! Way firmer and heavy, while adding more responsive and sensitive feel. No cause of the camber but also the harder bushings and more rigid arms are making a difference. The bumps for the lane separators are a bit more pronoun but hard bushings do that, my friends c43 OEM is just as firm on the bumps.

Regarding rub. I roll the fenders as I was cutting the 235/40/18 MPS4S with et40 18x8.5.. lowered their spacer 3mm, so et42 now, and still super close to rubbing fender. Wheel well rub is massive on large bumps which dip the front suspension. Not dangerous and lining seems intact but has tire marks.

Overall, even with the fitment issues, I'd do it again.

Alignment:
Front
Camber 1.6 deg / 1.8 deg
Toe +0.05 deg each side

Rear
Camber 1.8 degree each
Toe -0.16 deg each side

Take my word for it, this alignment is heaven! Car straightens out on turns super smooth! And makes it even heavier and agile than the lca+ts makes it. The highway jams left and right are x2 more planted.

Officially have the alignment done... my friend who tracks his 2 weekly and owns a shop did it with the specs below, freaking insane overall! Way firmer and heavy, while adding more responsive and sensitive feel. No cause of the camber but also the harder bushings and more rigid arms are making a difference. The bumps for the lane separators are a bit more pronoun but hard bushings do that, my friends c43 OEM is just as firm on the bumps.

Regarding rub. I roll the fenders as I was cutting the 235/40/18 MPS4S with et40 18x8.5.. lowered their spacer 3mm, so et42 now, and still super close to rubbing fender. Wheel well rub is massive on large bumps which dip the front suspension. Not dangerous and lining seems intact but has tire marks.

Overall, even with the fitment issues, I'd do it again.

Alignment:
Front
Camber 1.6 deg / 1.8 deg
Toe +0.05 deg each side

Rear
Camber 1.8 degree each
Toe -0.16 deg each side

Take my word for it, this alignment is heaven! Car straightens out on turns super smooth! And makes it even heavier and agile than the lca+ts makes it. The highway jams left and right are x2 more planted.
Negative Toe in the rear? Doesn't it feel very nervous and prone to oversteer?
