True, but good refresher either way. Some of those "ask Scott" questions could have been self answered by reading this.

The statement says it's the 135i replacement. Does that mean we can expect an M2? Dear god i'm lost at sea here. Back and forth between this already briliant M235i or sitting this one out till M2 arrives. The BMW dealership offered me a great 8 per cent discount on a M235i during the belgian brussels motorshow. Valable to end off januari. Do i get one or not??
Maybe buy M235i for a 3-4 years and then get the M2 if it's coming...

6 speed borrowed from M3/M4! Sweet! Let the tuning begin, at least we know the transmission can handle the power no problem.

What is the "M sport brake"?

Yep, and I am pretty sure it was also used in the 1M

Just a reminder, your S4,5,6,7,8 is not the equivalent of an ///M.

For those in Canada sitting on fence with this car
I would jump at buying it first round release...cause with new model yr bet yourselves BMWwill raise the prices as our dollar has tanked and will prob in coming years stay down. The days of loonie at par to USD are done.

The pyramid shows BMW is creating these "M-Performance models" to compete with Audi S models. True M cars are to compete with Audi RS vehicles. (i.e. M235i vs S3 and M4 vs RS5)

I want to hear about the 2 series Gran Coupe as well. I'd like something smaller than the F30 but with 4 doors. Plus this looks about a million times better than the F30.

I don't think manual transmission from the upcoming M3/M4 was already used in 1M. There is no such claim on 1M site: http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showthread.php?t=463733 .

Is this just in Canada or the entire NA market?

Given they are using the manual from the M3/M4... begs the question about rev-matching shifts.

It is a Canada document, but the Canadian market is not large enough on it's own to have such a signigicant difference from the US market. My guess it that this factoid applies to the US as well. Just a guess.
