It installs and works fine, the lever arm is just really far forward. NBD except a) can't use the normal boot) and b) if you have a big drink in the cupholder the shift lever might hit it.

I am running mine sans boot until Rogue fixes the issue.

I've tried my best to leave them alone while they get this sorted, but I'm itching to call and get an update at this point.

Same, haven't attempted the install yet but assuming it will be off the mark.

They should send out a batch email at least.

Same here.

I get more and more tempted every day to remove the lever and take it to the hydraulic press to bend it to the right angle. Will I regret it? Probably, but remaining patient is tough.

For real, wouldn't take much effort.

So are all of the second batch shifters defective?

Mine is sitting at the mechanic waiting to be installed after some other work is finished.

Should I have my mechanic ship it back to rogue, or what can they do to see if it's defective and needs to be shipped back?

Thanks

So they've sent out more incorrect levers?

I believe all of the levers from the most recent group buy were incorrect; by "second batch", I'm assuming they meant this group. My most recent communication with Rogue suggested they were creating replacement levers for everyone from the second group buy.

Did you receive any updates from them, or did it just show up one day?

Just spoke with Ben from Rogue and it turns out @EE60 was the only smart one…

In order to get a new lever you must ship the old one back for them to modify. Turn around time is less than 48 hours so I consider this good news! Contact them for a shipping label if you haven’t already.

@EE60 let us know how everything goes with the install!

…what…that was not what was discussed when I initially called them to discuss the issue. And I was one of the unlucky ones to install it before finding out about the problem

Wow... So since I've already installed mine, I have to go through a complete uninstall, then a reinstall of the original lever & carrier (so that the car is driveable), send it in, then do another complete disassembly/reassembly 48 hours plus several days of shipping later? Am I understanding this correctly?

...and if they are being "modified" does that mean they're just being bent to the right shape? Not sure I'm feeling so great about that. If that's the case, I think I'll just bend it myself.

I would contact them directly as I can only speak on my own situation. I would hope that they would make it up to all of us one way or another.

I'm in the same position you are. This is horrible! In my email from Ben on Dec. 15 he said "We have to make replacement levers for a few on the GB, so I’ll just add you to the list of the lucky ones!". I have not heard anything since, so I'm definitely reaching out now.

My latest email exchange with Ben:

Me: Just wanted to check in here - obviously haven't heard anything from your end but I've been following the discussion on the 2addicts forum. One of the users there stated that he had sent in his lever and had it modified and that this was what we must do - obviously since I have installed my lever that would be extremely inconvenient for me. Can you please speak to the status of replacement levers?

Ben: The one user was able to send in his uninstalled lever for modification as we still are waiting on parts. This seems to be our current situation as we continue to wait on parts.

Me: OK, so if we want to continue waiting for replacement parts we can do that? Any idea what the timeframe is?

Ben: I’m thinking about 3 weeks.

I sent my unit back to Rogue mid December per their instructions. I waited, and waited, and waited. Emailed 3 times, every 3 weeks, asking for any update--very cordially. They read it each time--I had tracking enabled--but no one responded.

Today I got a UPS notification about a new shipment arriving tomorrow. A follow up email just said it's on the way. So... we'll see. Not ready to spend $500 to have another issue just yet.

Would have appreciated just a simple "apologies" "appreciate your patience" "thank you" along the way. Never got one. A little would have gone a long. Guess I'm just too sensitive.

A mistake was made, unfortunately parts are affected with all the supply chain issues prevalent now. I have my shifter from the 1st group buy and could not be happier. Hopefully they get the new parts and get people sorted soon.
