Body Panel Gaps

Do the body panel gaps seem large to anyone? Especially around the hood and quarter panels.

first thing I noticed when I got the car. I actually thought the door wasn't hung properly! My audi A4 body alignment was way way better - inside too.

Pics would be good to describe what you are referring to.

My wife also found it when I just received the car....I guess it's one of BMW's design?

The gaps are purposedly there - it is a Bangleism, the 5er has it as well.

I like them, delineates areas of the car.

Your refering to the gaps between the hood/front fenders/doors no? The Quarter panels are the rear side panels. I love the front panel gaps, they give the front end a more "chiseled", defined look. Kinda bold and muscular.

Yes and yes. Those are the spots where it is most noticeable. Sorry for the lack of pictures. I just took delivery last night and was swamped today. I already see many improvements over my E46 325xi, especially in the clutch.

Anyway, thanks for the feedback, just wanted to see if others noticed the gaps as well.

You are right. Gaps are wider than those in the best Japanese cars. But I don't mind that. It would really bug me if they were uneven, but in my case they are nicely even and symmetrical. And all the panels align perfectly. So I am satisfied.
