Can't get the car to spin even with such power

As the title says, I just can't get the car to spin the tires even with the DTC completely off. I tried the 90 degree turn, I tried doing it on a semi wet surface and in top of that with the V 1.45..

What else am I missing? is the stability control engaging preventing the car to fishtail?, I can even get the car to spin from a dead stop.

The car just feels fast and it pulls hard it just can't spin at all, it moves forward. I was hoping for a wild rear happy car specillay with the V1.45 but is not happening.

The dealer told me to never use the DTC"off" unless I was stuck in mod or ice but I am kind of frustrated, I want to see the limits of the car and master the drifting on this car in case needed.

any ideas? I keep seeing factory commencial videos making turns in the twisties and getting one tire to burn.

My car is an auto, even a caveman should be able to do it but isn't happening.

Ah..I do not have any procede/TT tuning..and I can spin wheels easily. I push the DTC button quickly and it displays DTC in my console above the steering wheel.

I can even spin 'em on my 328... Are you holding down the DSC button or just pressing it?

I am pressing the dtc off for a few seconds and I get a triangle sign with a ring around. Is there any other way to do it?

From was I was told from another member runing his car at the track if you want half way DTC off you press it once and complately off you press it for a few seconds. Maybe he gave me the instructions differently.

Another thing I notice is that the car feels like it semi engages during hard acceleration.

+1 That is with holding the DTC button down for several seconds. Easy spinning after that...

Do you have a manual? You may not be launching properly, being a nanny with the clutch, not slipping it enough, too little? Could be anything.

Do you have auto? Fully turn the wheel and mash it. Or do a partial rev from neutral and drop it into drive haha.

I'm telling you, your best option is just to send the car to me and I'll show you how it's done.

Before you take the next "hard-left", draw down your window and you will hear the ashpalt (or concrete in the US) eat up your rear tires (even with DSC on), as you accelerate out of the corner.

It is harder to hear from the passenger side when taking a "hard-right" though.

yeah its completely off.

Depends on what you are trying to do. if what you want to do is a "donut", "fishtail", or generally just kick the back end out. just floor it when you turning. I do it all the time in my 328i with DTC engaged. (half off mode)

if you trying to do a standing burn out, (rear tires spin and smoke while staying in place) forget it. the computer cut power to the wheels after a little while of you holding the brake pedal down, while accelerating.

whatever you do, just be careful.

+everyone else

No problem getting my 330i tires to spin with traction off. Hell, I can spin the front tires on my Honda Odyssey if I want. Maybe you have the stickiest tires on the planet, but I can't think of why you couldn't burn out even in the wet. Maybe dump the clutch a little harder.

He has an auto guys.

Now listen I had this issue at first aswell. I made sure all systems were fully off and still wouldnt work. Then one day I was able to get it going and I have a 328i.

Hold the brakes rev the engine to about near 3k youll start hearing it. Ease off the brakes a bit.

Ok guys, I think I definately find the issue. iwas told by two people to do it one way and I found not to be the case.

My car was built in May and delivered in June. If I press the DTC button for a split second the car shows a DTC in the center display. If I press the same button for a few more seconds it shows a little warning sigh trinagule with some ring around it.

My car now spins when the DTC letters are display in the LCD display. By any chance is it possible that they change the mode of operation on this switch? By the way, again my car is an Auto.

No they didnt change the mode for the switch. Why would that be needed? I always have it with no systems on. Havent tried it with DTC on.

He's been drag racing for 12 years and couldn't figure it out? Not sure if that helps him. Either way I tried to help him out not sure if I did.

Also nearly all Wal Marts are busy but nearly all Wal-marts also have huge areas where there is empty parking lots. So he might of been an idiot or might have not been.
