I have a bmw 335i (jz94496), have a 4 fault code (at the same time)

29cd combustion misfire cylinder 1

29cf combustion misfire cylinder 3

29ce combustion misfire cylinder 2

29cc misfire several cylinder


I have changed 6 injectors

6 sparkplug

6 ignitioncoil

I done the update for software it is ok

exhaust system ok (catalitic convertor look clean and good condition)

comprossion test ok (6 cylinder is same)

hpfp is ok (I have test it with autologic) and today is put the new one.

oxygen sensor look is ok (before the cat reading 2volts, after the cat reading 0.4 volts)

I removed inlet manifold, I cleand the carbon from tract and valves (it is full of carbon)

I done the check engine ecu with cas and key the other car it is ok

but problem is same.

Can does this problem when engine its hot and when rpm is between 1800-3000.

Please can you help me.

ok you checked ignition and fuel. Next would be the air....How about the MAF..Are you running lean? I'm thinking your have a leak in your air system. Trying to think with you...

Is your misfire intermittent? Or is it constant?

Update us on any info?

I check the air system with smoke test, no leak,

car is hasnt got a MAF

it has got a 2 MAP (manifold absolute pressure) sensor , its look ok.

I had the same on my s2k, it needed valve adjustment.... but I don't think 335i requires one

Did you try swapping coils to see if the code moves to a different cylinder.

I'd be curious to see what index you have in bank 1 and in bank 2.

Misfires usually means:

A) bad spark plugs
B) bad coils
C) bad injectors

HI I did swap coils from bank 2 to bank 1
I change the bank 1 injectors used not new
code all the injectors but still have misfiring cylinder 1 2 3
and swap injectors from bank 2 to bank 1
codes don't move to bank 2
check dme for bad mosfets they are ok

What do the plugs look like?

Do you have a valve cover gasket leak?

Are the plugs in 1-3 really black?

How old are the plugs?

You said you put in used injectors?

I wouldn't be swapping injectors! Unless you redo the seals after pulling them & before installing them again, that alone could cause problems.

I bought used injectors on ebay
yes I put new seals in the injector
and coded the injectors with inpa.
still the same.

Sometimes, oily black spark plugs are a result of the VC gasket leaking into the cylinders. Remember, there's an inner ring on the valve cover gasket.

no oil just black carbon just did the

Excessive carbon won't cause a misfire in bank 1.

I bet the used injectors might be your problem

but a I swap injectors from bank 2 to bank 1
coded again nothing change,
may need buy a new injectors and try.

hear that sometimes replacing the mosfets will fix the problem
