Mineral Grey F30 335i ordered :)
Hi guys,
I have been a long time lurker and have initially ordered a 328i. Being the first car, I think I am going to go all out and spend the extra for the 335i I had a huge conflict between Mineral Grey & Imperial Blue, but finally decided. I actually looked at the mineral grey card at the dealership, and its very neutral grey. The luminosity is between Space Grey and Dark Graphite (oh I wish this was offered for the f30). I also had a huge conflict between manual and automatic tranny, but after watching several test drive videos, I have convinced myself into being lame and lazy - 8 speed automatic. Here is what I got Mineral Grey Metallic 8 Speed w/Paddle Shifters Sport Package LCL3 Black Dakota Leather with Red Highlight Aluminum Trim High-gloss black stripe across the dashboard Premium Package Cold Weather Package Technology Package Super excited! Delivery is on 2nd March and I have already booked my tickets to Munich! Zee Germans...here I come! |

Congrats man! Sounds like a great car.
I'm pretty sure I'm going close to your config (black paint vs. grey) but wondering how you made the decision on the trim and stripe. I'm thinking high-gloss black and red stripe, but I'm hemming and hawing over it. Did you wrestle? |

Wow, big change from what you were originally ordering. Congrats!!! And since I'll be picking mine up in Munich on March 1 (also an F30 335i in Mineral Grey) we can park them next to each other and take pics of our identical looking cars :-)

hahaha...thanks guys. This community has really enlightened me in all aspects of purchasing a car - I would have been totally oblivious if I had not followed the online forums from past 6 months or so. Most of the times, I know more than any of the dealers do ;-) which is always a win
Justin - yes I finally decided to go back to the neutral grey. Atleast, it will not conflict with the hideous red stitching on the seats The mineral grey is absolutely neutral. It may seem like it has a greenish tint in the pictures, but I saw it in person (a sample card) and its spot on neutral...meaning no blueish or greenish hue. Ron Scott - I am trying to find a picture that convinced me (Justin, do you know what i am talking about? I can't seem to find this pic of the dashboard) to go with aluminum trim & back stripe. I like the red stripe, but I find it too loud and conspicuous. wagz - congrats bro Whats your config like? SoonerJohnInMunich - Yup, we should have a pint to celebrate our identical cars in Munich! I didn't like the aluminum with red at all. I was leaning towards the gloss black with red because I have always liked the gloss black trim. I don't love the red stripe but I think it looks better with the black vs aluminum. You might have changed my mind though. The aluminum with gloss black stripe is nice.

I saw that pic and I got a bonner. I think that will look awesome with the grey/black interior. I really wanted the oyster/black, but think I will have to settle for the grey seats instead.
