People that are new to 335i

Would people who have never driven a 335i think it fast.

Nope, slow as crap, I mean its not even running sub 12s 1/4 miles, and anything that takes a whole 5 seconds to get to 60, I wouldn't feel safe taking that thing on the highway. I'd avoid it, and go for something fast like Toyota corolla. Make sure to add decals for an extra 5hp.

No. 335s are slow bone stock. It starts getting fun with Meth and a tune though but still not fast enough...

Lol what a dumb question. Anyways a car with anything over 300 tq is going to be faster then your average car you see on the street.

I really never test my N54, but my son (26 years old and a muscle car fanatic) was impressed when he "romped down" on the car at about 15-20 mph and just hung on. He was as impressed with how the car hugged the road (curvy Georgia road) as he was with the acceleration. And for all you modders, this was bone stock, so you are able to go much faster. But even stock, it's not bad . . .

I typically would not dignify this with a response, but this car was quick when I bought it (bone stock), and after the procede install, I feel that for everything else it offers it is an exceptional automobile, and fast as I want it to be. Scares me sometimes... I just think you are trying to start some shit about a car you could never afford. Don't hate-appreciate. if you don't know ya betta ask sombody, SON!

Depends on what cars they have previously driven. If I never drove a 335i and drove a 4 cylinder 165 hp car, then sure I would think it is fast.

There is always something out there faster than you, just keep that in mind, except certain track events where everyone is at ~400hp.

Stock, I think it's OK for what it is. Didn't surprise me or anything. My C5 would make it look silly but that's its job.

Seriously? I haven't had any cars I'd classify as neck breaking but have had a 94 RX7, 2 S2000s, a 02 S4, and the 335 has plenty of oomph to it. Add in all the refinement, and you have one hell of a vehicle.

I'd reckon most people have never driven a car that ran 13s in the quarter. Stock to stock its comparable (straight line) to the FD3S RX-7, close to the MkIV Supra TT, and a lot of early 90's high end sports cars. By default, as members of this forum, we're in a subset of the culture thats into cars; sweet, sweet E9x BMWs as opposed to say, Yugos, but still more car oriented than most. So yeah, I'd argue its a fast car to drive for most people.

talk about a fast / slow car lol, you dont know how much you'll appreciate the 335, until you drive a 100 hp car as your dd for 5 months, like i am in right now in China!

I'm new to my 335i... I'm not completely used to it yet but for being stock it's not bad. I'm not gonna lie, I've had my car three weeks and I'm ready for a procede asap!!!!
I love the fact that this car has such potential to be a sleeper... Most people don't have a clue about this car...This is coming from a guy who just gave up his Evo which had too much attention. So to answer your question, yes... It's just different.
