studded snows worked great last season, these are Nokian hakkepelita studded run flats, this coupe is not an xi and still did great in snow, was like a snow mobile last winter with all the snow we had, I got this winter wheel & tire package from bavauto, i forget what style rim that is

Space gray E92 + snow = hotness. I approve. Do you have trouble opening the door when it's frozen shut, and are afraid of cracking the frameless windows if you open it too hard/quickly?

Aha.. Nokian are good. I went with Michellins myself.

As for "no snow yet".. Winter tires (Regardless of friction or studded) need about 300 miles (500K´s) on tarmac/asfalt before optimum grip is acheievd on snow/ice.

This is because the outer most part of the tread hardens during storage and need to be worn away. Minimize this by cleaning and storging the tires in a cold place out of the sun in black plastic bags.

Summers and winters.. slight diffrence in witdh!

(centers replaced with OEM roundels BMW´s today)

color is actually Sparkling Graphite Metallic, space gray wasn't available in '08 for my car, and car gets garaged so never dealt with freezing issues, my hoopty is another story. but yea that space gray is cool, i seen an M3 in space gray with a carbon fiber roof made an awesome combo

I'm running non-studded, non-run-flat Hakkas on my 335i, with Dinan Stage 2, no xDrive. Love my Hakkas. A friend even has Hakkas on his Tundra.
I live in Calgary - on the edge of the Rocky Mountains - think Denver but 1000 miles north. I ski every weekend. I love driving 120kmh (75mph) on snow covered roads while laughing at all the SUVs upside-down in the ditches.
