unable to activate DRL on 1st batch 330I True?

Got my 330I in July, brought back to dealer (Shelly BMW) for DRL and auto-door-lock update. Dealer called stating that the first batch of 330I can not be updated for DRL. Anyone else has the same issue.
Help!!!!

Dealer is wrong. DRL's have been available for 330i since day 1.
DRL's have to be turned on by Dealer only, no option for owners.

Looks like since 9/12/2005 all new cars have option to turn off.
I was @ my Dealer today & I checked out their 330xi wagon.
I was able to turn off DRL's via iDrive.
I brought the service guy out & showed him where it's at.
He's now looking into getting software to update us early buyers.

Have my car since 6/29 and have DRL's just wish I could turn them off.
Looks promising for us now, just will most likely take some time?

Tell your dealer to look for DRL activation via the "Retrofits path" on their computer.

Barry626 there is no software upgrade available yet that will allow pre-September USA cars trun DRL on and off via Idrive

I know this just hoping BMW gets their acts together & comes up with one.
If they have software for Sept. on cars they should have something soon?
If not we need to get together & blast BMW for treating us this way!

They never advertised the DRL switchability feature for earlier cars, thus they dont HAVE to add it.

They keep making changes twice a year to the cars and not all changes are retrofittable, so one just has to get used to it.

It also depends if the DRL function is a hardware one, if so it will never be added to earlier cars.

I bought my car end of May and went in mid June and asked the dealer to turn DRL on and they did.

Thank you guys, but my car has no I-Drive dor DRL

My dealer insisted that so car can do it and some can not do it on the early batch of E90. Maybe it is hardware fitted. Don't know what do do next.
