Angry Navigation Crashing !!

so i picked up my 325XI today and started putting in an address to get direction to. to my dismay, the controller froze, the radio/CD stopped, and the whole system re-booted itself. this has happened 4-5 times already
Has anyone else had problems like this so far? i'm rather pissed off and am going to the dealer ASAP to get it looked at and hopefully fixed. Any sugestions in the mean time ?
When i go to navigation, i enter a new address, State, City, Street, then get directions, the voice system will say a line or two, then after that it freezes without me touching anything

That's definitely no bueno!!! Sorry to hear about that. Sounds like just a glitch and the dealer will probably be able to fix that.

My navigation froze and rebooted itself once or twice when I first got the car and I've had the car for about 2 months now. It's not rebooting itself anymore though. But I've noticed that the iDrive is taking alot longer to start up now, before it'll start up like almost immediately as soon as the engine starts.

They probably just have to reload the Nav computers software

My e90 has done it about 5 times since i've had it, and it been about 4 months now. No CIP updates.

Yep. Been there. I used to teach an MCSE program at a local college. Always taught my students the ctrl-alt-forehead manuver!

I have had my 325i since 10/7 with one reboot. A bit spooky when you are driving down the road and the screen goes dark and the radio goes off - I was worried the ignition might go next.

After many attempts to fix this problem in my car, they eventually replaced the CCC. Seems to be flawless since...

Mine did only when I had a music cd playing in the CD player, and only when I was driving over cobble-stones.

Hah I'm a windows admin too so I feel you with the pain.

Things you can try:
- Get the latest CIP update
- Make sure the disc isn't scratched or dirty (not likely but worth a look)
- Take note of when it happens, the 2 times mine froze were when using bluetooth
