e90 rear brake squeel fixed...and something else came up
So, I had the rear brake squeeling for a week, i printed out the TSB and brought to Fremont BMW.
Nick Lai took the car and had the rear brake pads changed, and got a new sensor also. I also complained that when pushing the car above 4-5k rpm, there is a burning smell from the vents. Of course, I could not duplicate this problem, but they said they would do a road-worthiness check. They came back and told me they could not find anything that would cause the burning smell, but they did find transmission oil seepage. WTF? Nick says it probably is just a worn-out rubber piece or something, and that he has seen many on 3 and 5 series. Made an appointment to fix that next week. So, does anyone have any ideas on the burning smell?? No dead rodents there. |

My guess would be the tranny fluid might cause the smell.
