2007 E92 ready to be modded,- tint and bigger wheels first?
What wheels should I get for this sapphire black E92 coupe? Is it realistic to have rears at 18' but up to 285 wide? What are good rims? (No made in china crap)... Does anyone have pics of wheels that wide on E92? What should I do for front? Any input is so much appreciated!

search the wheel section. 285 is a bit big for the rear, most go with 265 or 275. Foreign made isn't necessarily a bad thing. A number of vendors here sell great quality replica/aftermarket wheels that aren't made in the USA.

Good luck finding a set of cast wheels that AREN'T made in China. I can't even think of any, honestly, except BBS. Even a lot of the ones made in Taiwan are in fact made in China and boxed in Taiwan. Also, be open-minded. A lot of great wheels come out of that region, I don't know what possessed you to think otherwise. China is a manufacturing powerhouse with hundreds of millions of very capable people and the same types of equipment we have here. Just like with anything, you have to be smart where and whom you buy from.
Anyways, tints and bumper reflectors first, wheels are a good second. I recommend Velocity Motoring if you want cast wheels, DPE or Alloy Technic, maybe Vorsteiner if you have the budget for a forged 1pc, 2pc, or 3pc wheel. If you want the best, Forged is always the way to go, especially if you want something made in the US. 285's are a bit bulky in the rear unless you run 19's or 20's. Happy to help if you have more questions. JL |
