they are all spaced out too with mirrors folded and shit... if you go check out the toyota carollas, they will be sandwiched together like sardines to make sure they fit as many as they can in a small lot

I'm sure Nissan wasn't expecting an economic crisis. Besides these were selling for over MSRP when they first came out. All car sales are down for the most part.

ehhh - they were selling over MSRP before people realized that they were getting SHAFTED. internet rumors or just dumb people doing burnouts - noone in their right mind would spend over 70K for a Datsun - regardless of its prowess.

u are right though - Nissan wasn't expecting that. Neither was Ferrari or Porsche, yet their track / top of the line models rarely STAY on the showroom floor. Theres a niche market for these things. Sadly Nissan overestimated theirs.

theyre still going for over MSRP, i was lookin into them before the M and you still have to work with the same grimey sales people that are trying to push out 20 sentras a month... so hard to deal with

You can't compare a $70k Nissan to a $200k+ limited production/special order Ferrari's and Porsches. The Nissan is simply a lot of car for your money, not a Porsche/Ferrari/Lambo replacement.
