Garage door opener (325i)

I've just leased an '06 325i and am looking for a solution for my garage door. I found the homelink garage door opener selling on ebay for ~$500 US, but I'm looking for something cheaper.

I have an old Stanley garage door opener that has this huge remote transmitter and I can't find any convenient/neat place to put it in the car. I'm looking for a neater solution.

I'm hoping that there is a better alternative to just clipping the transmitter onto the sun shade. If not, are there any newer models or small compatible 3rd party models? Mine looks like this: http://cgi.ebay.ca/NEW-Stanley-1050-...QQcmdZViewItem

I think there is a DIY to hardwire garage door remote to car. That is very neat if u want neat

I had the same remote as you (at least it looked the same) for my Stanley door opener and went to Canadian tire and got the following remote

when it was on sale for $15 back in June. It fits nicely in the ashtray and since I don't smoke I just leave it there. You can shut the ashtray cover when not in use. Easier and cheaper than anything else I could find. I believe it goes for $30 normally and comes in 4 or 5 different colors.
