F22 M240 rotors change
Good afternoon, I hope you are well!
The reason for my inquiry is that I'm experiencing vibrations when braking on my 2017 M240 F22. The brake rotors have warped and it's time to replace them. I'm overwhelmed by all the different rotor options available. My car currently has the blue 2NH caliper. I would appreciate any help in determining the correct replacement for both the front and rear rotors. ECS? Zimmerman? Since I'm in this situation, I'd also like to ask if it's a good idea to install slotted and drilled rotors with better brake pads. I don't intend to change the diameter, just replace the parts. Thank you very much for your help! |

Are you certain that the rotors are warped? Often the vibration can be due to pad deposits stuck to the rotors. You can buff/scrape them clean or take the car out & do a number of high speed braking exercises!
Zimmermann makes great blank discs. Slotted or drilled rotors have a desirable visual to them but are hard on pads and most drilled rotors crack around the holes.
