am I correct in assuming that X1 M Sport in the US cannot be ordered with tow hitch?

I switched my order from X-Line to M Sport yesterday.

Just remembered that I forgot to ask about the tow hitch that was on my original order. I assume that the tow hitch option will be removed by switching to M Sport, right?

Guess I'll just have to look into getting a bike carrier for the roof rack...

You are correct. One of those Penske listings you posted actually had the hitch installed

way back in November, I knew I wanted the tow hitch, after seeing this 2023 X1.(which was the very first X1 video I saw on YouTube)

oh well.. like I said, I'm not so old that I can't lift a bike up to the roof bike carrier yet, so....

not in the US... but for 2023 X1 with M Sport in Europe and the rest
of the world, they can still get this electrically-lowered/raised hitch
which is activated via a switch on the right side of the trunk, next to
the 12V outlet.
(does that type of hitch even work in the US?)

I think this is only Europe. It's not available in Australia as we use the same hitches as the US.

The tongue weights aren't as high in europe as they are in Oz/USA.

Also makes it hard to attach a bike rack.

those pictures are the right-hand-drive 2023 X1 in South Africa.

Apparently it's also offered in the X1 for Central America.(forgot which country)

I reached out to Stealth Hitches and they are looking for someone to provide their X1 so they can make the hitch. You would receive a free hitch. I would have went for it but not in Georgia.
