how hard is it to swap seats?
If I were thinking of ordering the newly available active sport seats for my new X1 to replace my regular, non-lumbar, non-massage sport seats that were available at the time I ordered, how difficult would that be to swap?
Here's what I'm thinking: because the dealer will be ordering a fleet car with the Eucalyptus trim in order to swap it with the piano black trim my car mistakenly came with, what if I also ask them to order it with active sport seats to swap for mine, if I offer to pay the labor? Will they just laugh me out of their office? |

I wouldn't even know who to ask to get that answer. I know your dealer's parts department can see a piece-by-piece view of a vehicle in whatever they call that system, so I'd ask the dealer. Maybe they can see if the wiring harness is the same between both vehicles. They might not be able to do that till there is an actual VIN of the vehicle with active seats, though. But, worst they can do is laugh you out of their office.
