"Awaiting Carrier Assignment"

So I realize it could be another month or more before actual delivery on the east coast. But will that knowledge prevent me from checking the status ten times a day?

No. No it will not.

SRG...with x line and 19" wheels. This is what I have built as well. Glad to hear that your build has been completed.

"Awaiting carrier assignment" - Not sure how this means "A carrier has been assigned to take care of your BMW"

Haha, I know! I think it might actually mean carrier to be a train to take it to the port. But the wording is def off here.

I found myself googling how long a car stays in the paint booth, assembly line, quality check, etc. at each stage. It wasn't helpful. Now I read it could be in the carrier assignment stage for up to a week or more.

After your carrier is assigned, it should be about a month or so after that point that your X1 will be in your possession. You’re getting close!

The wait can definitely make one anxious. Understandable. Did your status switch from “production begins” directly to “awaiting carrier assignment” ?

Oh no, I followed it at every step. Once it goes to Exterior Body Assembly it moves much quicker.

I reckon so. It had been "dispatched from factory, " so I guess it's on the train to the port now.

I've calmed my checking the site every hour, only because it's on a vessel in the Atlantic now and there's not much that can change now.

I spoke to my CA. He says the estimate is 10-14 days for delivery after it gets to port. He doesn’t think there would be delays if the stop sale campaigns have a remedy.
