Sounds like the dealer left your velcro pads off, you were supposed to have 4 velcro pads that screw into your carpet. Then if you notice, on the bottom of your mats, the velcro attaches to the velcro pad on your floor. Here is a pic of what the pads look like that screw into your floor. BTW, it's the one on the right, the round one.

I used to have a similar problem with my mats. The velcro pads are at the rear of the mats, and the front of the mats (closest to the pedals) are free to get caught on the pedals.

My solution was to slide the mats as far forward as possible, while still having the velcro at the back attached. This doesn't allow the pedal to get caught on the edge of the mat, thereby eliminating the mat being caught on the clutch pedal. Instead, the clutch will make contact with the mat a few inches posterior to the the leading edge and the mat will stay in place.

Hope that helps.

I had the same problem today for the first time. Yesterday I took out the mat to clean it. I probably didn't put it up far enough.

I have the same problem, my solution was just slide down the mat a little so the top edge doesn't get caught by the clutch pedal.

I used to have that problem with the carpet mats so i bought the all-weather mats (which is easier to clean and harder to damage) and layed on top of the carpeted mats. I lay the carpet ones as from from me as possible and the rubber ones as close to me as possible. At times the rubber ones will get pushed forward so you have to just pull it back a bit. Not really the best way but i guess it works for me. You probably just have to eaither lay the mats as far as you can or as close as you can and stick it on the velcro pads.

glad i was not the only one--I have the velcro screws, but yes they are set up nearer the seat--the mat is free to do what it wants up near the pedals. I tried sliding it farther up almost on the dead pedal--I will see if it helps. No problems yet. I will try the other way if it continues--then look for another solution if that does not work. Thanks guys

I moved my mat closer to the seat and it made the problem go away.
I have the velcro screws too, and I am wondering since there are two velcros for the back and none for the front, could we just split them up, keep one at the back, and put one on the front (unless there is nothing for the front part to stick to, havent investigated it)?
