228i xDrive Coupe 2015 with N20 Low Load/Spool Knock on Stage 2 93 OTS BM3 map.
Hello Guys, I have been emailing PTF back and forth about my occasional knocking that is happening in my logs. This is a very rare occasion and is only happening in low load.
I was going back and forth with 91 and 93 maps to see if that changed it a bit. Although the 91 map is preventing Lower Load knocks in higher load there will be an occasional knock nothing to crazy like a split second of the sensor going off and the engine adjusts timing accordingly. I live in Florida and Only Fill Shell 93, Costco 93 or Chevron 93. Current Bolt-Ons VRSF Intercooler 5'5 stepped VRSF Chargepipe VRSF Downpipe Mishimoto Intake Tune: Stage 2 93 Oct OTS from BM3 xHP Stage 3 for zf8spd Logs on 91: https://www.bootmod3.net/log?id=619c...90c61e5b0b2b66 https://www.bootmod3.net/log?id=619c...0b435800964422 Logs on 93: https://www.bootmod3.net/log?id=6198...90c62ca26677c7 https://www.bootmod3.net/log?id=6198...0b436c0e83018d My Vehicle has 20500 miles and is up to date on maintenance. I did order NGK spark plugs for a colder step and will be installing and running the log again. Will this be the culprit? By factor doesn't the n20 already run a colder plug and my plugs are fairly new I don't know if the owner changed them since I never checked but figured with the low mileage (bought at 16k miles) It wouldn't be an issue to run the tune with the factory plugs. Lot of questions I know sorry . Please enlighten me. I do not want to damage my daily. I treat her very good. if this helps I use LiquiMoly 5w-40 Oil. 2100 miles til next service. Thanks!!! . |
