Emissions in Boston?
Hi guys! I just recently moved to Boston and, other than an upper coolant line that snapped on me and upgraded charge and boost pipes, my car is stock and its time to start building. My first steps are a new intake and catless DP. That said, I have no idea what the emissions regulations are here. Being from California, I am hoping they are more lenient here. That said, I don't want to spend the time and money if I can't get it registered here. Anyone from Massachusetts have any advice on the strictness of emissions here? Thanks in advance!

They test emissions every other year in Massachusetts during your annual inspection. Generally, most shops don't care what's on your car as long as it passes the emissions test and doesn't have any emissions or safety codes. Not sure if that helps?

Thanks for your help! My California tags expire in October, so I might just wait until I get it stickered to get the catless DP. I was told earlier in the thread that they only test emissions every other year, is that accurate?
