F23 wind deflector

So unfortunately, our 2019 f23 didn't have a wind deflector. Is this something that's supposed to come with the car? I'm wondering — do they work well?

Looking online they are couple hundred plus. Maybe someone here wants doesn't use one and wants to sell

Here in Ontario, Canada, the three F23s I've owned all came with wind deflectors.

They absolutely work. I take it off when the kids ride in back and quite a bit windier (though not terrible either way). Worth it for a couple of hundred dollars.

my vert came with one too and yes they work very well, if you drive with roof down and windows up wind is almost non existent, also a must for the long haired vert owner.

That wind deflector is the difference of being able to have the top down when my wife is in the car. Without it, my wife would never let me drive top down with her

The wind deflector works extremely well, and as mentioned, greatly reduces wind buffet and allows conversation at freeway speeds.

I fund that it's also useful in (a) hiding anything left on the back seat when parked (b) stopping someone from reaching into the car and taking something off the back seat e.g. at traffic lights and (c) stopping anything loose on the back seat from blowing out the car.

Yes, it's a pricey accessory, but I'd say worth it. Here in the UK, there are also a couple of independents who do non-folding, one-piece equivalents that are cheaper than the BMW version.

Don't do this, it is the equivalent of black dress socks and sandals.

Nothing wrong with roof down and windows up.

At least not on local road. When you are driving 80mph+ on freeway, by all means, put the windows up and the wind deflector. You are not trying to experience hurricane

I was joking about the windows up top down thing. It screams baby boomer in a Volvo to me.

Somewhat on topic, I have a deflector for my R52 MINI and was best money ever spent.

Love the wind deflector for colder days, or extended high speed drives.

Does anyone know if someone makes a protective storage sleeve, black vinyl perhaps, I'm tired of it free floating in the trunk when not in use.

What he said.

Seriously, the wind deflector is great for cool mornings but when it's warm I don't use it.

BMW does makes a protective storage sleeve. Try asking locally if there is someone that has one of this that they dont use. My protective storage sleeve is free floating in my trunk when not in use, which is ever lol.

The BmW one is VERY expensive, $250 if memory serves.
