The 2 Series is the Best Car On Earth.
My love letter to the two series. I think it just might be the best smiles per dollar car on the planet.

It didn't hurt that I'd previously owned six BMWs and understood very well what I was letting myself in for.

I've owned quite a number of cars over the last 34 years, including a number of performance cars. I got permission from the boss to go get a C7 corvette.
I came home with my M240i and I have zero regrets. |

You are probably asking the OP, but mine will be 6 years old this August. We fixed a rattle early on.....

great vid and agree with most. My search was for a manual sports car, and after driving/researching a bunch, landed on 235 for all those reasons.

Nice "love letter" to the car.
He touched upon most of the reasons I traded my like new 2015 Corvette C7 and chose my M240i over a Porsche Cayman, and the Audi TTS. While some may argue whether it really is the best car in the world, it certainly "ticked" all the boxes I was looking for in an all-around car. |

What are your thoughts on the heavier M240i with AWD? In fact make it a convertible as well. Would love to hear candid thoughts P.s. have you posted your videos on /r/cars? You should! |

I do need a track weapon though. Either the new M4 or the new M2. Or the new Caymans (if not the new 911)! Great time to be an enthusiast! |

My 2017 M240i has been trouble-free for 22 months now. I've yet to crack the first 10K. Soon, though!

The two series kinds of snuck up on me as a car, meaning, the non M2 versions never grabbed me aesthetically until they grew on me. Once I decided I liked the platform, my decision tree went like this: M2: Bragging rights and performance would be fun but I'll never use all the power and I KNOW it's price would keep me from pushing it fully on the track and it would be expensive to ruin it (never track anything you don't want/can't afford to lose). 235/240: More power than the 228 but I'd always regret not having the M2 and the added expense wouldn't equal the usable power. Not as balanced as the 4 cylinder due to weight. 228: Plenty quick, surprisingly so. Easily tuned when it's not quick enough Plus, I'm secure in my manhood. I don't need more cylinders to offset my ahem.... size...

The fact that the M240i is lighter, almost as fast, higher quality and much more practical was very intriguing. When I found a dealer who sell me one for just about the same price the Ford dealers were asking for a Mustang GT Premium, it was a no brainer. Nice video OP! |

I ordered a 2016 ruby red ecoboost mustang convertible and loved it until the check engine light came on. The mustang was out of service for four months, and in the shop for five weeks with a cracked cylinder. This disappointed me but I found BMW Certified 2017 230I convertible at the local BMW dealer. It had the M Sport Package which I liked. The performance of the BMW is similar to the ecoboost mustang. So I bought it and sold the mustang The 230I came with three years of manufacturer's warranty. Loved your video.
