Hi all

The first videos of the M235i GC have come around and this one includes exhaust sound at about 1:20. Doesn't actually sound bad at all.

Definitely not a car you'll look back at after parking.

Is the car in transport mode while revving exhaust? It looks like it was.

Not a nice looking car at all. There seems to be a creativity vacuum at BMW over the last few years and as a result, we have a watered down lineup as we move forward.

When I saw it from behind I thought it's not too bad, one can get used to it but it has a very X4'ish back in my opinion. When the camera man showed the side profile, I absolutely hated it. It looks very bloated and high, it's not a sleek looking car at all. Kind of like a 3 Series GT. BMW styling is a hit and miss these days, with very little hits unfortunately.

Their designs are literally hit or miss at this point. I commend the designs of the 3, 8, X3-5 & 7. And even the 1er hatch that someway manages to look better than this.

I would accept stuff like this if the proceeds (assuming the targeted demographic eats this up, doubt it though) were going to the R&D of a true halo sports car but instead we're getting a halo SAV/SUV. Not to mention steadily getting unproportional grills too.

For those that don't like the styling, you're obviously not the target audience. So good news, you don't have to buy it!

I saw that in the Audi Q2 and it looked nice with the illuminated quattro logo. This look random and the design is ugly.

Great walk around. Car looks good in grey. The headlight shape is terrible but the upgraded headlight option (LED?) makes the car look decent. Hexagonal grills are pretty odd thou.

Exactly, reminds me a little of the pre-lci F07 5GT from the rear

Unless your last car was a Camry, Accord, or Sonata. How you pick this one at the BMW dealership out of a lineup of better looking better performing cars is beyond me. 🤨

I cannot believe this, but a Civic or Corolla, which presumably this thing competes with, looks better with more uniform design language.

Thanks for that. Back to discussing a brand we are enthusiastic about on a board designed specifically to discuss it.

LOL mods keep posting this car on the front page and expect it not to get shat on.

My advice, stop posting about this car, it's just going to get roasted by all of us. A non-enthusiast BMW cannot be shoved down the throats of BMW enthusiasts on a BMW enthusiast website.

There is more tail light on the rear quarter panels then on the actual rear of the car. The dash board looks like a lot of hard plastic; is there any soft touch material up there?

I wonder how all the critics, who have zero design knowledge, would fair designing any vehicle, much less this one. So easy to critique

Dash looks all soft touch (besides around the gauge cluster).
