218d Remap
Just had a remap done on my 218d. Taken it to 400nm of torque and circa 190bhp.
Now I appreciate those of you running 225's and the petrol gang will be scoffing at this but to get this performance out of a baby engine and still manage 50mpg is pretty good going. |

These engines are superb highway cruisers blending efficiency, refinement and high torque like no other engine can manage. I had a 320d for a while and still sometimes miss how nice it was on the highway, no petrol pulls from 1500 rpm like the diesels do.

The stock map felt a tad flat under 2k revs. Seemed to take an age for it to kick. Whereas the petrol engines pull all the way.
However with the remap it's ironed out the flat spot and once you get to circa 2k revs it just takes off. |
