335 fuel mileage with mhd

I'm curious to see if there is any mpg difference between the 91 and 93 octane tune with mhd. Fixing to start a new job so will be on the interstate a lot. Currently on the 93 tune. Didn't know if jumping down to the 91 would yield me a couple more mpg or not. Cruise set at 80 which is actually 76mph in real world terms I can get right at 24-25mpg I drive a sedan auto all wheel drive.

24-25 mpg with AWD is pretty good at 76mph I'd say.

What stage are you on?

I would think going down to 91 octane would yield Lea mpg.

You can always use an app called Carly and have the speedo corrected to what you digital read out says.

25? Fucking how?

I've never attained better than 22 with the utmost diligence with my xdrive automatic with a 100 mile commute @ 71mph cruise set.

No, you won't get better mpg going to a lower octane map

When I was stock I bounced on and off 30 in the car running the same route cause I go to the city a lot on the weekends. At ther time I set cruise at 75 which would be 71. But now I drive a little faster just because. But that route is kinda up hill down hill. Maybe that effects it some? I'm in southern Missouri so now sure what elevation I'm in really

And I have calculated fuel mileage at fill ups using a calculator. The car gauge seems to be spot on

I've seen the 'instant' readout hit 29-30 before. Never has the dash average ever shown more than 25. And never has my hand calculation been better than 22.

Be thankful you get what you get, no idea how you're doing it but enjoy.

You've set the analog speedo or the digital one? I'd love to fix the main speedo, I hate that its off.

My digital one is coded and dead on for speed.

I don't think the 93 vs 91 maps are that different from each other, maybe a few percent either way but certainly not a few MPG's.
Switching to the 91 map may prove cheaper if only because 91 octane might be cheaper per gallon than 93.

I don't have protool.

I do have Carly.

I think Carly will be cheaper short term.

Protool is a much better app for diagnosing and coding. At some point, it might be as good as ISTA & INPA and the like. From my readings, I don't think it's there now, but I think it's heading in that direction.

I'd call/ email the folks at Bimmergeeks and see if their app can do what you want.

I know Carly can.
