Dinan Stage 2 Update

Someone here (don't recall who) said Dinan or a retailer or ??? had told him early 2020. The reason was that Dinan is focused on the S58.

Yeah, I called 4-5 times over the last year and a half and each time it was pushed back until recently telling me the beginning of 2020. Definitely a flash tune and said "definitely more power over Stage 1" but he also wasn't familiar with the fuel limit issue on the B58.
I wasn't waiting any longer so a month ago I got the MP tune.

I just heard from Dinan and they are working very hard to get the stage 2 tune out this qtr which means I hope by the end of June -

Fuel limit issue? I haven't heard about that before. What does that entail?

I'm pretty happy with my Stage 1 V1, but I wouldn't be opposed to more power. Seems like the B58 has been ignored for quite some time by Dinan. A stage 2 would take my $$$ pretty quickly.

I'm not bashing Dinan or JB4, but I went from the Dinan to the JB4 and now the Mission Performance Stage 2. I was happy with each, but continually sought more. lol
I really love the MP tune. From what I gather there are a few other flash tunes that I assume are equal, but I can't speak to them. I don't have first hand knowledge of them.
So, during my quest I learned a lot on here. The B58 has a fuel restriction that limits it to a certain amount. Once you get to about 450whp (an estimate I read) you'll max out the fuel and your AFR will be too lean.
If you want to move forward you'll need to have a supplemental fuel supply like water methanol injection.
Search B58 fuel limit and read up. There are some really knowledgeable guys that explain it much better than I can.

This car is a blast in the 400 at the wheels, and with MP releasing reworked HPFP fairly soon, sh!t it gonna get crazy!

I am pretty sure there is a physical limitation that needs to be addressed that can't be solved with a tune, ..... of course, you could use meth, or e85.
I think the good news is that the new B58 vehicles have a larger capacity HPFP, prob just a matter time we can grab one of those and slap it on the previous models

Talked to my independent BMW tech / Dinan tech last week about it. He said he talked to Dinan and it looks like Beta later this Summer. If I were to guess I would say end of Summer.
