I have owned my 235 for over two years. Today, which was particularly warm here in the NY area, I tried for the first time to close the windows by holding down the lock button on the key fob after locking the car from the outside. No luck. It worked on my old 325 15 years ago. I will try it on my wife's X3 and report back. Both have the various convenience options.

Tried that just now on both my '15 235 and my wife's '16 X3. Nada, zilch, zero.

I have a '16 M235 and I cannot get the windows to close back up. Holding my hand on the door handle/comfort access point does nothing. They roll down fine with the unlock button on the FOB tho.

Did you point the key fob to the mirror on windshield center and press and hold the lock button on the key fob?

BMW from like 2005 come with close windows from fob disabled in US. Just go to any dealer and try to do that on other car and see what happens |

Like I mentioned earlier, perhaps it works for convertibles but is disabled for hardtops, but it works, no coding, bought in New York from a dealer brand new. It would be highly unlikely for this feature to be coded at the dealer before I bought the car, but possible I suppose. The salesman even showed me before I made the purchase. The key fob also lowers and raises the roof, along with the windows, so that's why I think it may not need coding on convertibles.

I just tried it out. From a few feet away,FOB lowers the windows. It will not raise the Windows. However up close,a few inches away. FOB lowers windows and top. Raises top and windows. If the top is already up,it raises the windows. The raising of the top or windows is only when you are close AND you have the comfort package. That is no coding.
