Just wondering before I carry out any work - will I be ok to change the springs on my e92 to h&r even though the car is on the personal contract thing? obviously i'm happy to change alloys an all that but how far can I go with modding

Agreed, friend modded his & returned it back to original at the end of the contract.
Unfortunate abbreviation PCP when you think about it. |

Yes you can modify your car.
You have entered into a contract and you actually own the car as you are the registered keeper on the log book and therefore the car is now 100% your responsibility regardless if you pay the final balloon payment or choose to hand it back. It's not like leasing where you are not registered on the log book. I wasn't sure if I could add a private reg as my car is on a PCP too. When I rang the Dealer he said I could as I owned the car - again because I retain the log book and car is in my name. As with all mods you ought to notify your insurance company though. Hell you should get a premium reduction. Stiffer springs = better handling = less accidents = Cheaper Insurnace? lol PhilR Happy Modding |

If you look at the terms and conditions of the pcp agreement you will see that BMW Finance Limited is the 'owner' of the vehicle. |

What misled me was the ability to change the reg without any consent from BMW Finance Ltd and the fact that Dealer said incorrectly I owned the car when I rang them. PhilR Last edited by PhilR; 04-11-2008 at 05:43 AM.. Reason: typo |

I think it would be easier to modify a car on LSD.
Angel Dust can cause quite a bit of confusion and you may find that instead of fitting your blacklines you have accidently thrown yourself of a tall building in the mistaken belief that you can fly. |
