jb4 backend users

ok guys what is the best most aggresive map to run on the jb4 with backendflash.

currently i am on the e85 flash, but what map do you guys recommend to run to get the most power of my 335i

i currently run it on map 2. I've tried map 7 but it always throws me into map 4 the safe mode map.

mods: inlets, dci, cp with bov, stage 2 fuel it pump, bmw performance exhaust running e85 with e60

If it's throwing you in map 4 it's probably cause you need to raise your boost limit on the JB4. Check your logs.

You do have a FMIC right? Didn't see it in your mod list.

Cut back on E85 and run some logs. I'd recommend posting logs of your E60 you have now to see what's causing the issue.

assuming your map's fuel scalar matches the E85 mix your are running, Fastest solution is map 5

If you want more power you need to check your logs and get a tuner to a custom map for you

IIRC the stock TMAP sensor only reads to 20psi, so if you hit 20 you may be hitting your boost safe and thereby tripping to map 4. I'm not sure how the system responds when you may temporarily make over 20psi with the stock TMAP.

I would recommend contacting Terry @ BMS or others over at n54tech where the discussion is more focused on this stuff. And probably get the 3.5bar TMAP sensor.
