First set of changes!
Hey everyone. It's been a while!
Recently upgraded from my '10 128i to a '16 M235i! Here are some of the cosmetic changes I've done so far! Take a look and tell me what you think! All Vinyls were designed by Andy @ www.bluebatoverlays.com Tell me what vinyls you guys want to see next! I'm thinking 1 - Smoked Tails 2 - Graphite Roof Wrap 3 - Two tone front bumper

Usually don't go on threads to express a negative opinion but realistically I think the reflectors and gas cap vinyl need to go. They just break up the lines of the car and make it look like a civic with a bad paint job. My suggestion would be to do the body matched reflectors from IND, remove the gas cap vinyl, do the roof wrap.
Otherwise you are going to have a mess... |

Ha - was going to post something but then my mother's voice popped into my head saying if you don't have anything nice to say...
Usually cosmetic stuff I stay out of, to each their own, but wow.

Chris, beautiful car and thanks for sharing. I would have to say that I agree with everyone else here. I was going to stick mainly to commenting on the gas cap which as a black square on the side of the car looks completely off. The rest I could live with but personally wouldn't do it myself. Black grills and dark wheels look nice. How about some color matched reflectors and mirror covers? The 235 is a sharp looking car in red and adding too many dark accents doesnt really flow well. Looks nice with a few dark accents like the grill and wheels but theres overkill at a certain point.

Vinyl wraps: Just because you can, doesn't mean you should.

Hey guys!
So, everything came from factory on the car except reflectors and gas cap. Two-tone gas cap is just a personal quirk that I do. I've done it with every car I own. As far as the reflectors go, glad some of you guys like them. How do you guys feel about the wheel-match to the reflector in front? (Color wise) I'm just having fun with the car, and figured I would share it.

Also, for anyone that wants to see a two-tone roof.
Should I go for gloss black to match the grill/trim Or Should I try to make a red/grey (think wheel color) theme to the car? Thoughts?

If you go roof wrap which I think might look pretty decent, i'd go same color of your wheels. But i'd really recommend removing the reflectors and gas tank or else it almost looks like a cheapo patched together car with mods from autozone.

Oh man....I feel bad. I feel the same way the rest do, but didn't want to throw shade on his parade. Your wrap is definitely non-standard, but if you like it then so what?

Maybe I should clarify.
I'm going to take off the gas-lid wrap and install paint-matched front reflectors, while keeping rear reflectors smoked. I plan on smoking the tails, so I think it would match nicely. Definitely doing the roof wrap, paint-matched to the wheels (dark grey). What would you guys think of paint-matched (dark grey) side mirrors to match?

Check out this Melbourne Red 235 with black mirror caps: http://s753.photobucket.com/user/ben...C715E.jpg.html
I like the mix of the wheels with the mirror caps and front black splitters. I think you are headed in the right direction on your mods now. |

i have seen roof wrapped with black in AW. I would be interested to see how it would look in MR.
Also i have to agree with others not a fan of fuel tank cover but personally i actually don't mind leaving reflector orange. |

Looks good! To each his own, but it's not the first Ive seen a black fuel tank lid and don't mind it at all. I've been debating on wrapping my roof, but wheels and drop first.
