Will 275/30/19 bridgestone 960 fit on 19x9 wheel or would it be better to get a 9.5 inch wide wheel?

I'm not Gary, but yes it will work perfectly fine.

I've had 275/35 and a 275/40 on 20x9"

9" - 265

it will fit, but not common.... 275 is usually on minimum 9.5" wide wheel...

Per Bridgestone the recommended rim width range on the 275/30R19 Potenza RE960 A/S is 9"-10".
