Miles on tires before replacement

Has anyone had to replace their tires yet on their car? I'm curious to know how many miles you were able to get out of the PSS's.

Haven't had to replace yet, but have got 5mm left on the rears after 10K miles usage with them. So projecting a comfortable 20k if not 25k. I use winter tyres in winter, which helps the PSS last longer time wise too.

I just replaced my rears yesterday. They still had 3mm on them, so I could have stretched them longer. I have just under 16k miles on the car.

Over 12K mikes, two tire's replaced one due to bubble and one to nail (f,r). But still driving on two original.
No track use, once a month on average do some aggressive back road driving.

Have appt on Friday to get all mine replaced, 17K miles so far. I feel I could stretch them probably to 20K, but the front drivers side is a bit sketchy, especially around the sidewall. MPSS have very soft shoulders. I may over inflate slightly this go around to see if that helps.

How and where you drive will dictate tire life on any of these performance tires. I suspect the extreme lows could be 10k for folks driving pretty hard with some track days in there. On the other end of the spectrum is those who drive in mild climates and drive conservatively, those folks will get about 20k maybe a little more. My guess is average will be around 15-17k.

I have 12,000 miles on mine and have about 3-6 months left on my tires. Just wondering what everyone is replacing their tires with. What tire would you recommend that might last the longest? Thx

I'm at 20.1k miles still on my originals. My front tires aren't looking too great. Rear tires still look good. Time to do some burnouts and order new tires all at once. Still have 14 months and 16k miles on my lease. Trying to time it to where I would only order 1 new set during the lease.

PSS are freaking great street performance tires and I've had all sorts of different summer tires over the years. They are by far the best out there for the money and longevity. If you want tires to last longer, you'll give up performance. Same can be said for brakes and dusting. Any summer tire worth a damn will be worn out in around 20-25K miles with fairly mild driving. If you're wearing out the front shoulder blocks quickly, consider airing up the fronts a bit. I run mine at near 38-39psi in the front (same as the rears).

I stopped by to gripe about the poor treadlife of my PSS's and found this thread.

I'm at 18K but I use winters so these tires have a few thousand less and the fronts are just about done around the outside. Rears are low but OK. New summer tires next spring.
