Cayman to 2-series Cab almost
Nearly traded in my 2011 Cayman that I've had since new, now with 72k miles, but with an AC evaporator that needs replacing, for a 2016 Glacier Silver/Coral Red Cab. My wife preferred that I fix my Porsche instead.
Tell me about the car. I really liked it. |

I'll give you my 2 cents on the cab.
I purchased my 2015 M235 with 8AT in May. My previous "toy" was a 1998 LS1 powered Z28 6MT with T-tops. My daily driver is an Audi S6. The M235 is a great drive. Lots of info on these forums on that topic. Driving with the top down, wind screen up, and the windows up an inch produces nearly no wind buffeting in the front seats... very nice! And the golf clubs fit in the trunk... awesome! On the transmission - it is an incredible auto. Shifts nearly instantly. "S" mode always has the engine ready. I was torn between the manual and the auto. I drove both back to back (repeatedly) at the dealership. Sometimes I miss the manual. What really irritates me about the AT is that you cannot get it out of PARK if the engine is not running. Forget rolling it out of the garage or towing! I prefer the S6 for long highway drives... it is quieter, roomier, and not "fidgety" - the M235 is - on highways that are not smooth. Hope this helps! |

Not a Cab, that's a term Porsche uses...
It is called a Convertible, and you will love it ! |

Test drive it first and figure out if you really want it or not. Let your wife test drive it too and let her know it's probably less expensive maintenance wise and you get the 4 yr/50k warranty on a new bmw.
