2016 2 Series Pricing and Ordering Guide

Is here:

BMW 2 Series Coupe
2016-BMW-2-Series-F22-Ordering-Guide.pdf
228i Coupe - $33,800
228i xDrive Coupe - $35,800
M235i Coupe - $45,150
M235i xDrive Coupe - $44,900
Pricing including $950 Destination and Handling

BMW 2 Series Convertible
2016-BMW-2-Series-Convertible-F23-Ordering-Guide.pdf
228i Convertible - $39,600
228i xDrive Convertible - $41,600
M235i Convertible - $49,700
M235i xDrive Convertible - $50,700
Pricing including $950 Destination and Handling

Some interesting changes ... the Alarm, Comfort Access, and Garage Door Opener are now standard on the M235, and Sport Line has been discontinued -- possibly representing the base car now. M Sport on the 228i is now $500 cheaper, and the Tech Package and THP are slightly cheaper, too. Nav is NOT standard.

That's all I noticed on a quick scan ... everyone else: Go!

These numbers seem off. The xdrive isn't cheaper.

I calculate these (including $950 destination)

M235i Coupe - $45,100
M235i xDrive Coupe - $47,100

Well the comfort access and garage door opener are still not standard on the 228i. The THP is actually $100 more than it used to be. M-sport doesn't seem to include sport seats (can that be right?). Also the premium package is much cheaper but doesn't include leather upholstery anymore.

It seems that the color options are more open now (not as limited depending on what line/package you get), but I'm not sure why they dropped the sportline...I had the impression that was much more popular than the M-sport.

Overall, I'm perplexed.

I need to spend more time reading, but could it be that the content of Sportline is now the base car? It may be that Sportline was such a high runner, and base cars so low, that it made sense to drop the prior base car configuration. I see sport seats are standard, which is why they would no longer be in the MSport package...they're already in there.

Orbit Grey Wheels 436M available isn't that much darker than the current m235i wheels? Black Wheels Hype? No Valencia Orange for m235i, not that I'm surprised

Kinda of feel like I got screwed. I didn't want to pay $2,200 for Auto Dimming mirrors and comfort key access, but I would have paid a $1,000 more. O well, I'm sure I'll still enjoy my 235 when it gets here.

Where do you guys see the prices in that PDF? Also how long does it take for the new 2016 pricing to be reflected on BMWUSA.com 'build your own'?

Ohh...I see it now. So it actually seems I could be getting the same car, but in Valencia Orange, for MSRP of $50 less than it was for 2015. Mine hasn't started production yet...should I call my dealer and ask them to change it? Not that I don't love EB, but the Orange is my favorite of all.

sportline

The sportline is explicitly listed as part of the 228 now. Last column.
And one can order the non-sport seats if getting the Luxury package.
