Switch from my beloved m235 i to 435 gran coupe.
Hi guys, i want to know what do you guys think on changing my beloved m235 i to a 435 i grand coupe, the reason that i am pulling the trigger on an 435 gc is mainly space and 4 doors (family), so let me know what do u guys feel.

Tradeoffs.
If you need 4 doors and the back seat the 3/4 GC is a great way to go. The dynamics aren't quite as enjoyable which is why I came from an F30 to the F22. The 4GC is a great car though so it's certainly not a bad decision if you need the room. The hatchback makes loading cargo really nice too. I miss being able to have a car that could carry mountain bikes, but that's what the wife's truck is now for.

Keep the m235i and get an X1 or a Mazda 3 Touring?

On the surface it looks like you made a bad decision getting a 2 series when you needed 4 doors? Thats a bummer...
Hope the trade-in or sell isn't too unkind on a 1-2 year old vehicle GL man...

Honestly, coming from F3x, my sentiments are: If you have to, I guess.

I really dig the 435 GC, test drove one before I got my m235i.
I would hold out for a 2016 and updated engine.

I originally test drove the 435 Gran Coupe, but the xDrive wasn't set to hit dealerships for another couple months so on a whim I decided to test drive the M235i xDrive and never looked back. I also figured with me set to get married in 2015 that this was probably the last time I would be able to get away with a coupe.
Enjoy the ride, can't wait to see the pics! |

I talked to a salesman at a dealership who sold a man a fully load 335i with every Performance part money could buy and the cost was more than a M3. This to me is just stupid. But then again I don't know your budget or what you want. |

If you assume you're buying more than just the engine, once you add the options that get the cars on a level equipment playing field (Executive package, DCT on an M) and a well loaded 435i GC (Tech, Premium, Cold Weather, PDC) you're talking about a $13,000 price difference still. Even if you are leasing that's still over $150 more month. You can only compare a stripper MT to a fully loaded 435i X drive with a few M performance parts on added for bonus before you start talking about the prices being similar, and that doesn't get past the fact that the M car will drink more fuel and cost more to insure.
