In previous test fits, 8.5 ET45 required a 5mm spacer to clear the strut. After the 5mm spacer, you may need a bit of negative camber and/or fender modification to provide enough fender clearance.

Check out this thread, he's running our VMR V710 in 19x8.5 ET35 with 235/35/19 (FRONT)
http://www.2addicts.com/forums/showt...&highlight=vmr ^ Looking at this, I assume 8.5 ET40 with 235/35/19 shouldn't pose any issues. That being said, of course, there would be more to account for if you decide to go lower etc.
