My new baby: Alpine White 330i with 19" AC Schnitzer Type IV

I've had her in my possession for two weeks now, but it took a while to get the wheels swapped and the dealer-applied wax stripped off.

The car:
2006 BMW 330i
Alpine White
Black Leather with Aluminum trim
Sport Package

Non-obvious options:
Premium Package
Active Steering
Comfort Access
Heated Front Seats
Folding Rear Seats
The wheels:
AC Schnitzer Type IV
f: 19" x 8.5" et 33
r: 19" x 9.5" et 24
The tires:
Dunlop SP Sport Maxx
f: 225/35R19
r: 255/30R19
These photos were taken mostly standing out in the street dodging four lanes worth of traffic, so the focus is a little off in some of them.

The ACS IV is my favorite wheel on the E90. That looks spectacular!

Nice rims. I am about to purchase the BMW 199 OEMs but I have to say, these rims look pretty sick. Does anybody have these or pix of them with Jet Black. How much if you dont mind me asking?

Don't want to hi-jack this thread by posting other pics, so here's the link to ACS Type IV racing version wheels on black E90. I don't recall seeing regular Type IV's on black E90, but this should give you an idea. Also, the second link is a whole thread of various aftermarket wheels to give you an idea of what's out there.

Black with aluminum trim.

I had Terra on order from day one, but some other family members exerted influence to make me reconsider. I'm reluctant to say why I didn't wind up going with Terra, as I'm still somewhat envious of those who do have Terra, especially with aluminum trim. Let's just say black seemed like the safer bet, trying to predict how my tastes -- and those who will share in the car's life -- might evolve over the years.

There are a few wheels that I think look great, and plenty of others that are nice wheels on their own but don't do a whole lot for the car. My interest was in finding a set of wheels that looked inseparable from the car, being mutually complementary.

When I first saw pictures of these ACS Type IVs, I thought they were awful. The angled inner rim makes the wheels look as if they're canted at weird angles in some pictures. It took seeing the wheels on those Japanese Alpine White E90/E91s to make me reexamine my initial dismissal of the Type IVs.

I left town for a few days shortly after getting the wheels installed. When I came back, on the way home from the train station in Little Italy, I saw an E46 330Ci with the same wheels. I was disappointed for me to know that someone else in town has the same wheels, and disappointed for the E46 owner that the wheels don't look as good on his car. And then I felt better.

Though I can't guarantee that you'll get quoted the same price, I paid $3,300 and bought them from Wheel Experts Automotive Group. For my money, in addition to the wheels, I got several months worth of invaluable consultation with the ever-patient Peter Lee, president of Wheel Experts. I will share more of this positive experience in a separate post.

I spent a lot of time admiring your car while waiting for mine to arrive. Your suspension modification looks just right. I'm still debating whether to spring for coilovers (bad pun), seeing that I'd only want to lower the car ever so slightly from its current stance.

Sorry for the limited selection. I was trying to catch the early morning sunlight hitting the building beyond, and didn't have a good background to work with from the other side.

Here's one more that didn't warrant inclusion, being a fairly typical shot:

after seeing countless pictures of the E90 with different sizes of rims, I def. think 19" is the perfect size for E90s.

and kudos for a nice clean setup!

Looks great! While I never considered AW, my next BMW will likely be AW. Congrats on a great looking car!

You're right, some editing is definitely necessary. I didn't even post all of them that I took. In my excitement at just having taken the photos, being anxious to share, and, with E90Post's generous limit-free upload policy, I decided to just include them all. Today being the first day of the new year, I resolve to do better moving forward.
