DIY Performance Monitor

Was wondering if it is possible to code in gauges for Coolant temp/oil temp/boost into the existing performance monitor that shows power/torque? I feel like BMW should have added this from factory. I know there are aftermarket gauge options but this would be way more seamless and look better imo.

Thoughts? Has this been attempted?

I'd look into CarPlay to see if an app such as OBDFusion or BimmerLink will work. The app allows you to create a dashboard of 6 "gauges."

Contact Vladimir at bimmerdoc.comp@gmail.com. He'll set you up with the software to load into the head unit to enable CarPlay. Here's his YouTube vid:
. He's in Estonia but he's readily available and easy to work with.

Thanks! Just thought about this, but what if I do not have an Apple phone? Does it also work for Android Auto or similar?

Yes, Carplay is Apple only. Hence the name Apple Carplay. Which is why I mentioned Android Auto.
