Those with aftermarket screens

Are they any good and how hard was it to install? I've been trying to look for a new screen for my car for the past few months (mine has the infamous screen bubble issue) and F22 screens are absurdly difficult to find. My car has Bluetooth and GPS from factory so its not like upgrading the screen will be a huge upgrade for me. Don't really care for Android Auto/Carplay. I'm doing this purely for looks.

I've seen a few screens here and there but information is scarce. Could I just use the iDrive system and not have to use the Android side?

Hate to be that guy but the search button is your friend.

F22 is not a proprietary screen so you can source much more broadly. I'd encourage you to look through the many threads on upgrading the screen to OEM different sizes (8.8 or 10.25). You don't need to go with an Android unit to save money.

Everything you need is here! Best of luck.

I've seen people put screens from other BMWs, but I'm not a fan of the fitments. For instance, if I were to put an F30 8.8 screen, it would leave an unsightly gap.(Mine is a pre-LCI so it has the hump on the back) I've seen a few people put X5 screens in their cars, but that would necessitate having to cut into the dash.

The Android screens are a perfect fitment, but I've only seen one person that actually documented what they about it. I need more information so I can decide to either buy an Android screen or keep looking for an F22 screen.

Mine is also bubbling. Planning on getting the 10.25" AVIN unit with max specs, but waiting until the bubbling gets worse. It looks like they have an F22-specific trim panel. Currently the whole right edge is bubbled and extending 0.5-0.75" inward.

I have a 10 inch Android screen for 4 years and a few months, it has a better resolution than the OEM one, installing it is very easy, fitment is perfect and I like how it looks compared to that tiny 8". The new models have even better resolution / screens. It also makes it very easy to add reverse / front cameras if you don't have any.

The only downside IMHO is that you can't start the radio without Ignition ON.

The bubbles on mine got pretty bad in just few months (granted I live in Florida and the car doesn't have garage privileges)
