240 allocations running out?
I'm looking to put in an order for a 2018 m240i for May/June delivery and I've heard from 3 separate dealers that there were hardly any allocations/build slots left for 240's and I need to act fast. I can't tell if this is a negotiating tactic to get me to accept their offers, or the actual truth. Any way to know?

M240i Allocations
FWIW....When I ordered mine on Thursday (3-22) my CA showed me the computer screen that listed 4 vehicles nationwide that could still be reconfigured to have delivery prior to my lease end in late May.....

I swear there must be some dark art to how these allotments work / are handed out / correspond to production dates. If I had to go back and do over again, I would have not just gone with the lowest price but also had some confirmation they actually had an allotment that was ready to use. That seems to be the key: does the dealer have one at that moment. That was the issue with mine. They didn't have one, but assumed they could trade another dealer for one but there weren't that many floating around so it took some doing to get one. |

I had a similar experience. I just ordered mine a few weeks ago. I contacted 45 dealers and 10 told me that they had no allocations. I was told They are ending the 2018 production model soon.

Thanks for all the info everyone! My dealer was able to get a slot so I am starting the order process. Hoping to get my production # by end of the week....then the waiting begins! It's my second one so I won't be as antsy and will be more fun to watch it.
