I have noticed a new noise when I start the car - more pronounced when it is cold. It isnt the rattle many people describe that continues for a bit. It is a short lasting noise - almost sounds like something either sucking or scraping.

Any ideas?

(As an aside, the TPM malfunction lighting up is due to my winter wheels not having the correct sensors in them).

If it's not the vacuum pump it could be your exhaust flap.

had u had someone kneel down by the drivers side exhaust and listen if it is emanating from the flap ?
