Vin: VB98560 Estoril Blue II 2018 230i LCI 6spd manual rear wheel drive Parting with my beautiful 2018 230i for the right price. I'm deploying again soon, and don't want it to just sit in storage. This has been meticulously cared for, and maintained. It is my daily driver, with 23,600 miles and counting. I own the care outright and have the title in hand. I have never taken this car to a track, and rarely place it outside of ECO or Standard mode since its such a short drive to and from work. I would prefer to sell to a forum member who understands coding and Dinan performance parts, and can appreciate what this car is. Two recalls have been performed - Gauge cluster back lighting going out, and the left/right tail lights going out. Included: -Factory warranty until 2021 / 50k miles -BMW Ultimate Care package until 2021 / 50k miles -Extended warranty until 2023 / 75k miles **Must be inspected by BMW after purchase to maintain extended warranty** -Next A and B maintenance intervals prepaid after 2021 -BMW Wheel and Tire warranty until 2021, all 4 claims still available -EBII Exterior/Sensatic Black interior w/ hexagonal blue accent trim -M Performance package 18' staggered all season run-flats -Moon roof delete -Heated steering wheel -Heated seats -HK premium sound -Enhanced bluetooth -Wireless charging/wifi hotspot -Lighting package (LED headlights) -Parking assistant plus package (sensors and auto steer parking) -Comfort access -Puddle lights Add ons: -8.8" iDrive screen coded in (non touch) -Factory wireless carplay added via FSC coding with official BMW activation key -Bavsound ghost woofers -Bavsound amplifier -BMW oem performance front lip painted piano black/EB -BMW oem performance 240i rear diffuser painted piano black/EB -Dinan free flow exhaust for 240i -Dinan midpipe -Dinan carbon fiber cold air intake -Dinan lowering springs and bumpstop kit -Dinan Elite stage1v2 tune -Dinan carbon M2 spoiler The car was protected inside and out with ceramic coating before I drove it off the lot. It was fully detailed and coated again in September. The only damage to this car is normal wear and tear rock chips, which are very minimal. No curb rash or door dings or scratches. I also still have all original factory parts that have been upgraded - exhuast, 6.5" screen, rear diffuser, rear spoiler, factory springs/stops, factory woofers, factory amplifier. Beautiful car! With the exception of the moonroof this is the car I hope to be driving in a few years! Awesome build. You obviously know what you're doing and want.
Can you explain how you have Carplay operating? I know Bimmertech offers a solution. |

Thanks! I love this car, but I don't want it to sit for a year, and hoping to find a used M2CS when I get back. For a daily car it's absolutely perfect. I got carplay added working with Steve at codemybimmer.ca I did a write up on it in the forums somewhere. I can track it down later when I'm not at work. But basically the newer entrynav2 HU has WiFi and enhanced BT which is all you really need for CarPlay to work. It was just a matter of getting the software to be unlocked and uploading an activation key which is where Steve came in. It cost a little more than CarPlay add on, but I saved the $2,000 I would have had to spend to purchase the Nav package as a prerequisite. The only difference is the HU doesn't support touch screen. Not a huge deal since I find the screen is actually awkwardly far to reach while also driving. Using the idrive wheel is really intuitive and easy. I love the set up.

Will be buying this exact car (with or without the sunroof and without mods) in about 2 years for my son. GLWS! Just 2 years too early for me!

Thanks! He will love it for sure. The only mod I feel like I couldn't do without is the stage1 tune. It makes everything feel smoother and more alive, but it's not a substantial change to where I feel like my engine is paying the price. The free flow exhaust just lets you hear how great the engine sounds but didn't really improve performance at all that I could tell. Good luck in your search in the coming years. Hopefully they are still offering the 6spd then. This is by far the best driving manual gear box I've ever driven. I only wish the rev hang wasn't quite so long which took some getting used to.

I'm sure there will be manuals on the used market. Even though manuals are rare, it's amazing how the demand is virtually non-existent, thus car manufacturers aren't making many anymore. Good thing for us is these cars will continue to depreciate and become much more affordable (a first car will have to be on a budget). Bad thing is finding the exact build we want, like yours. Hopefully for us, you won't find a buyer for another year-and-a-half and will be able to buy yours!

Yeah, I know, I get it.
I found mine, totally mis-advertised down in Baton Rouge. Reason it was $10K off when I bought it. Thankfully, another forum member here pointed me to it.

2 years and 20k miles from now, a car like this (without the mods) will be in the teens. That's the price point we want to be at for a first car for my son. Hope that a car with this build will be available then!

Price lowered. Trying to sell by the end of the year before I have to move. Recently installed midpipe from DINAN to match the free flow exhaust

It doesn't have the nav package. I have Apple carplay, so I figured the Nav package was a waste of $2,000 since I would never use it. I always just place my phone in the armrest wireless charging cradle and pull up waze.
It does have the larger screen, but does not have the touch function. Pretty much the only shortfall of not having the nav package head unit. Honestly I find the screen to be too far forward to make use of a touch screen function anyway. |

Thanks for the reply. I proudly don't have apple (refuse to support cults that make inferior products). But for what it's worth, I don't use Android Auto either. I like the factory nav and prefer to keep the phone for just phone use. And I don't want my kids fumbling on the phone with maps if they are driving. I'm guessing there is no way to affordably upgrade to the factory nav?

Yea not that I have seen. They offer a retrofit from factory that costs more than originally just buying NAV. For about 1500-2000 you can swap the HU and controller and screen as a package coded to vin by codemybimmer.ca or bimmertech.com. I considered doing it, but for under $500 I got carplay and the larger screen which was a way better deal and really all I wanted.
I believe with the same software it also does android mirror cast. But either way it's wireless, so you don't actually have the phone out. To set the destination you need only to hit the button on the wheel and ask for directions to X and it loads up for you. It also reads and replies to text by voice. I've been a huge fan of it so far. Also canceled my satellite radio now that I have ITunes playlists. |

How do you like the bav sound ghosts? Did you get the amp at the same time? Do you think the amp is worth getting as well? (I have hifi). Thanks in advance!

I don't know if I could justify the extra cost to replace the entire system for stage 1 speakers without hearing how much of an improvement that would really make. I am happy with how it is now, so I don't really intend to try and find out. |

Yea I wanted them, but couldn't justify the cost of the T&H package just for pretty calipers. I get it has a lot more, but nothing I would ever really see the advantages of. It's my daily driver and that's about it. I have just always wanted to own a BMW ever since the rental company screwed up and upgraded me to a 340i a few years back.
