Got my new Vgate. Started car, plugged it in, Vlink popped up on my IPad wifi networks. Selected it, opened App, and Viola!!!! Coded away. Now I have to read up more on the expert mode so I can code enhanced BT and get Office (I have the Tech package and Nav, but no Office, so no texts). Also want to eliminate the seat belt nag. My mail box is 250 yards from the garage, so I don't need to listen to it nag me when I get the mail.

Stephan was absolutely stellar about helping. He even showed me how to get a full refund if I wanted and was very prompt with my requests for help.

I get office to show up in the main display and two others, but I don't get it when configuring my phone. I did check the box on my iPhone 6 to allow notifications under Bluetooth. I don't see emails or texts.

Does connector interfere with tunes? Active Autowerke Active-8 specifically? I where does it plug in?

Curious if anyone has hit a snag coding ASD and M animated idrive power up.

Even though I've coded F80 for ASD it sounds as though ASD is actually off. Same thing if I restore the backup. Sounds like the ASD is off now. I also can't get the M idrive boot logo to come up. Start the car and the idrive immediately goes to the last thing I was using in idrive.

Has anyone experienced this and were you able to fix it?

I think changing ASD (to M3) on model years 2016+ no longer works.

As for the M iDrive boot animation, if the car hasn't sat for a little bit you most likely will not see it. Try locking the car and letting it sit for 10 minutes or so and try again.

Correct. You basically can disable by changing model, but not customize sound.

If you could electronics off with door open, then you see animation each time.

Ok, the logo comes up but disappears in milliseconds whereas the original BMW logo was displayed for maybe 2 or 3 seconds. I reverted back to the original logo and same thing...appears for milliseconds now....weird.

I coded the digital speedometer but noticed that I can't get anything to display above it. You see the --:-- that never changes. How do I get the time to display again?

90% no. A small percentage yes. One problem is that certain functions people are enabling that come standard on other series or depending on vintage. Biggest issue is that they would have to prove you changed things that compromised some aspect of the vehicle.

Is the "M Performance" logo supposed to always show on the cluster similar to the "M240i" logo as seen above? Mine only shows when I get in before starting the ignition.

Only comes up when the vehicle is started or shut off.

Are there any warranty issues by using BimmerCode? In other words, will any warranties be voided by changing code? I understand that you may need to recode if you take it in for service and they have to perform a reset.

Few of us have the same problems. Probably a glitch in the app. The dev is on here forums, hopefully he sees this and fixes in the next release candidate build.
