Awesome! so excited, please tell us as soon as we can place an order for the midpipe and exhaust. The car sounds beautiful just too quiet

At least that's the plan.

Not emissions legal so you wont see a downpipe or CEL clearing functionality from Dinan. Unless you want to cover the astronomical fines per vehicle involved (see VW). Takers? Bueller? Bueller? =)

Even catted. Any change to an emissions control device is emissions illegal.

I'm in for hearing a M240 with a midpipe vs hearing a M240 with a downpipe. How much of a sound difference are we talking here? I know that is so hard to describe so a video clip when available would be great!

Awesome, thanks!

Now that your MPE is installed, do you notice more sound in the cabin while driving? I have to crack my windows to hear the pops and burbles but I am wondering if you can hear them now with the windows up and having MPE.

Thank you.

Honestly, i don't recommend the M Performance Exhaust. I spent 1200USD in the system and i'm not pleased with it. There's no significant change in sound.

After some research i figured out the main problem with the M240i sound it's not the engine, it's the midpipe section (2 resonators/silencers before muffler instead of 1 like the M235i) so i'll definitely recommend waiting for a full catback system from Dinan, Remus, Awe or a MPE install with midpipe resonator delete.

I'm removing my MPE for a full catback replacement (2k+-)

I am not looking for too much sound increase but would love to hear some pops in the car with the windows rolled up. Lol.

If you want a subtle sound improvement go for the MPE. But it wont pop like the M235i MPE. Trust me.

Ok. Maybe I'll wait for a proper midpipe with only one resonator.

Thanks!

Updating this thread, now i have the Dinan non resonated midpipe with M Performance Exhaust.

This setup it's just AMAZING. The way a M240i should sound. Needed some exhaust shop job to pair them but it was worth it. No drone at all.

Or you can delete both resonators on the stock midpipe. Same amazing result.

Anybody able to find / install a MPE on a 2017 F23 M240i?

Thanks!
I know 2 guys here in Canada, specifically in the Toronto area that have the MPE on their 240i?s so something doesn?t make sense
